At AiR Humanitarian Homes, we are continuously trying to expand, and upgrade our facilities and services to help more and more people and improve the quality of life for our residents, make it more comfortable and keep up with changing times and technologies.
Currently, we are working towards expanding our existing infrastructure at the Bannerghatta home. We are building additional floors in order to provide shelter to another 500 destitute people, and raise its capacity from a 280-bed facility to close to a 800-bed home.
This is something that our city most certainly needs. In fact, there are only a few shelter homes currently operational in Bengaluru. Our existing infrastructure can barely support 10% of Bengaluru’s homeless population. A random survey by the NGOs in the city pegged the number of homeless at around 5,200 in 2018. In a repeated exercise a year later, it was estimated to be 4,000. We would like to do what we can to help the city and our people.
While it’s an ambitious project, we are hopeful that we will be able to raise sufficient funds and make our vision a reality. We are seeking support from individual donors, philanthropists and corporates.
Join us in our humanitarian work. Help us make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged. Any act of kindness takes us closer to God. Service to humanity is Prayer.
