24-year-old Arati needs to get back on her feet so that she can be with her 6-year-old son and support him. She is all that her son has.
A migrant worker from Nepal, Arati had come to Bangalore with her husband and son a while ago. Her husband abandoned her and married another woman. To support herself and her child, she started working in a small plastic cover factory for daily wages , near Tavarekere. While at work, her left leg accidentally got crushed in a machine and had to be amputated.
Not only has this been an excruciatingly painful and difficult time for her, but since then, she has also been separated from her son because of her inability to look after him.
An artificial limb can turn around Arati’s life. The cost of the prosthetics, gait training and physiotherapy is estimated to be Rs 2.9 lakhs. Please donate and empower Arati so that she can rebuild her life, be with her son and raise him with dignity.
Donate through UPI, all debit/credit cards and net banking.
